ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
While some of you may know Adan as the literal ROCK STAR that he is (he is a drummer in a band) he is one in the gym as well! We have had the pleasure of watching Adan become stronger each day not only in ALL of his lifts but competing in his first CrossFit Open this year with toes-to-bar, kipping pull-ups, hand-stand push ups and double-unders. He can often be found about 400M in front of the pack on any given sprint day and is always giving 110%. We love having him in the gym and cannot wait to see all that he accomplishes in years to come. Without further adieu: Adan Silva
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I have been doing CrossFit a year and a half. My wife, Maritza introduced it to me.
What is your favorite movement? Least favorite?
I really like the power clean. I do not have a least favorite.
What is a song that pumps you up when you workout? One that you hope you never f’ing here again?

What is the biggest change you have seen since starting at Defiance either physical or mental?
My overall mentality in the way I think from before has changed and there are great physical changes to the condition of my body.
What would you say to someone who is interested or nervous about trying the gym?
I would encourage them to not be nervous. Going to the gym is one of the best decisions you could make. It is one of the best decisions that I have made.
