Athlete of the Month: Whitney Linman

Congrats to Whitney Linman, our January 2017 Athlete of the Month.

“Whit” has been with us for 5 months, and the changes we have seen in him have been tremendous.  If you haven’t worked out with him at 4:15, we highly recommend it.  This guy is a testament to what simple consistency will do for your health.  We think he is a radical dude, and are so excited to see his progress over the next year.

Q. How long have you been at Defiance S&C?

A. 5 months

Q. Where were you born and raised?
A. Chicago, Illinois
Q. What do you do for work?
A. I’m the Operations Manager for Balentine Collections
Q. What is your “Spirit Animal?”
A. Bear (Editor’s note: this is spot on)
Q. What is your favorite food?
A. Steak 
Q. What is your favorite type of workout or lift?
A. Weighted sit-ups
Q. What is your least favorite workout or lift?
A. Burpees
Q. What were you doing for exercise before you started at Defiance?
A. NOTHING (like ever)!
Q. What activities do you enjoy doing outside the gym?
A. Riding motorcycles 
Q. How if at all, has Defiance S&C changed your life?
A. I’ve lost weight, I have more energy, and in general I am feeling better. 
Q. How would you describe Defiance and your experiences at Defiance with someone who is interested in trying it out?
A. Give it 1 month to get used to working out. I really like the format that Defiance does and feel that the instructors really look out for your well being!!!
